Hospice update

Some good news. Kevin and the hospital/health insurance group found another hospice in DeKalb, on 2nd street, that can take over the care of Tara. The plan now is to move her there tomorrow (Thursday). This will be great news for the family, making it much easier to be with Tara 24x7 now that she's closer in DeKalb, rather than Rockford. It will also make it much easier for her co-workers and local friends to visit her.

Could you please let me know what the address is for the Hospice? Directions?

After we get her moved, yes...since I don't even know yet.

Please let us know if the hospice has any special rules for visitors, like a list we have to be on. Some do.

I have a guest book so please sign it when you visit. It is nice to know who stopped by even if we miss them. I won't be up to DeKalb until tomorrow so I'll drop it off then. Thanks. CJ

I just wanted to leave a message and ask that someone please read it to Tara.

This is Stephanie Kohl, one of her students at the library. Before the accident, Tara nominated me for the "Northern Illinois University Outstanding Women Student Award." I received notice yesterday that I am one of the winners who will receive this award. I want to thank Tara for nominating me. It means so much that she thinks highly enough of me to nominate me for such an award. I think Tara is a pretty outstanding woman herself. I appreciate everything that Tara has done for me and will miss her a great deal. You are in my thoughts everyday.

Love,
Stephanie

Tara is in Room 109.

As far as I can tell there are no special rules for visiting. You have to go in a certain door and ring the door bell on the way in. When you leave you need to push 1234 and the * key. Please sign the guest book as it is just nice to know who has visited. Karen, my dad, Evan and I visited for a while today. We sang for a bit and left some music playing when we left. -- CJ

Room 109- If I'm remembering correctly, go to the right once you go in the door you are supposed to go in. Please leave some of her music playing when you leave. I think she enjoys hearing her favorite tunes. --CJ
